This was one of the best travel experiences I’ve ever had. Our leader Essdras was outstanding and was able to provide an insight into the Cuban culture that was unique and fascinating. If you take this trip, expect to be shoved out of your comfort zone, in a very good way … easily the best group leader I’ve ever traveled with, including those from National Geographic and Smithsonian. In addition, a wonderful photography teacher.

The level of photography, photographic support and encouragement could not be equaled. Essdras Suarez was outstanding both as a photographer and as a supporter, teacher, “encourager’” (if that’s a word?) of each of us. The group gelled quickly and remained so throughout the trip. … My primary reason for traveling was that Essdras Suarez was the photo expert. For this, I rate the trip as a 10.

There is no better way to explore a country and culture than to take photographs. Essdras was a good teacher as well as an informative guide. He had a great sense of humor and was very approachable. It was obvious that he was concerned with our well-being and our comfort. He was very knowledgeable about photographic issues as well as the people we photographed.
